Note: This functionality is available for administrators only. Editing the SMS invite template applies the changes across the entire Nivo instance for all agent users.
You can customise the SMS invite text that populates when you initially invite a customer to use the Nivo app, or your whitelabeled version of the app.
The default invite message is:
Hi {{fullName}}, it’s {{institution}} here. Download {{appName}} for the easiest and most secure way to speak with us: {{url}}
Example:
Hi Sarah Mortimer, it’s Nivo Support here. Download Nivo for the easiest and most secure way to speak with us: https://links.nivohub.com/l/qwx
To customise this message, follow the steps below:
- Ensure you are an administrator. If you do not know who your administrator is you can ask the support team by emailing support@nivohub.zendesk.com
- When logged into the Nivo console, click on the cog icon in the upper right hand corner.
- Select "SMS Invite" from the menu.
- A dialogue box will appear. You can now edit the SMS invite text here. You can use any of our template merge fields (see here for the full list) in the text to fill in things such as customer name, agent name, institution name, etc. Please note that you MUST include the URL placeholder otherwise the customer will not have a link to click on to download and use the app.
- Once done editing, click save. This will apply the changes to all agent users across your entire Nivo.
FAQ & Tips:
- This configuration applies to SMS invites with Nivobot deeplinks as well.
- If your team manually invites customers, using the merge field {{agentName}} will populate the name of the agent who initiated the invite. This personalisation will help ensure your customer who is inviting them in case they have doubts to the validity of the Nivo invite.
- Don't remove the URL placeholder. It's the most important bit of the invite!
